Brie on Crostini with Prosciutto, Basil & Honey

Updated: Nov 21, 2018

Crostini (small slices of toasted bread) and Belletoile are the perfect complements to any special occasion. Treat yourself and others to a dish that has the perfect balance of sweet and savory, all with a few ingredients and easy steps:

Recipe:

  • 1/2 small baguette cut diagonally into 12 1/2-inch-thick slices

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • 4 ounces thin sliced prosciutto

  • 4 ounce wedge of Belletoile cheese, cut into 12 slices

  • 12 leaves fresh basil

  • 2 tablespoons honey

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Lightly brush both sides of each bread slice with oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a rimmed baking sheet. Toast in oven 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden. Then transfer sheet to a wire rack; let crostini cool completely.

Divide basil leaves, brie and folded slices of prosciutto among crostini. Drizzle with honey. Season with pepper to taste.
